a question
if your mother were to present you with a journal/diary/memoir of her life and exploits as an early twenty-something (all the sex, drugs, parties, lovers, and everything else she was able to get away with) would you read it? would you want to know?

My mother? Heck no. But then she's not the type to have done anything interesting anyway. But I'd love to read about someone else's mother. lol So save your memoir for the rest of us.
And as for your comment on my blog - I'll dig up a puttanesca recipe if you PROMISE to make it worth my while. ;-)
Well, my mom met my dad at 21, and they were married a year and a half later, so really, there's not much in there I wouldn't know.
My mother has been quite open with the fact that she is an irrationally prudish person... I would love to have her journal to find out if she was full of shit or not, but I would guess that she is being pretty straight about being uptight... she was reacting that way after abuse, that she has yet to actually deal with in a healthy way...
either way I am sure that she would still be of the opinion that I am going to hell...
oh well...
